19 students affiliated with the Greenhouse living-learning community participated in a cleanup along Town Branch Saturday afternoon, April 25. April is Earth Month and the activity was part of the Great American Cleanup, which is organized locally by Keep Lexington Beautiful (part of LFUCG). We worked in the Distillery District between Oliver Lewis Way and Forbes Road. Our estimated haul was more than 300 pounds of trash, including plastic bags, cups and wrappers, old clothes, and auto parts. We intend for this to be an annual activity.
