Note: Would prefer full time, but will consider part-time applicants:
               Start and end dates are negotiable.
 
  • Conduct Industrial Hygiene Air & Noise Monitoring
  • Work with production departments to determine appropriate time
  • Select appropriate sample media with help from ESHA (Environmental, Safety, and Health Affairs) department
  • Hang sampling media and monitor workers during sampling
  • Prepare report of sample results
  • Conduct area noise surveys and prepare site noise maps
 
  • Complete equipment specific lockout instruction
  • Work with operations to determine isolation points for equipment
  • Document isolation points, method of isolation, and verification method
 
 
  • Conduct Fit Tests
  • Conduct qualitative fit testing for all west plant employees in the respirator program
 
  • Evaluation of Hazards in the Work Area
  • Assist with comprehensive hazard analysis for job tasks using EHWA format (including tasks, hazards, controls, risk decisions and action plans)
  • Specify PPE required as part of exercise
 
  • Signage
  • Review tanks in process areas to evaluate adequacy and accuracy of signage
  • Specify and order needed improvements
 
  • Calibration
  • Monthly and quarterly calibration of handheld monitors
 
  • Process Hazard Analyses
  • Participate in and eventually conduct Process Hazard Analyses for our process.
 
  • Ergonomics
  • Assist with ergonomic evaluations
  • Identify solutions to address ergonomic concerns.
 
  • Safety Data Sheets
  • Survey maintenance shops, process areas, labs to develop a comprehensive list of all items not available in SAP system
  • Create a list with searchable information for CIS (Chemical Information System)
  • Review CIS to ensure current SDS is available for these chemicals is available
