For Honors Students Only; HON 395: Follow instructions on the Lewis Honors College website: https://www.uky.edu/honors/hon-395-approval- process. Students are responsible for securing their faculty research mentor. Once a mentor is secured, students should meet with the mentor and complete the HON 395 proposal form (available on the Lewis Honors College website). Contracts are due to academic advisor by the on the last day of ADD/DROP. Advisors will then add students to a section of HON 395 and assign faculty research mentor as instructor of record. Honors academic advisors will contact student and faculty research mentor regarding approval.
An independent research or creative project for 1-6 credits under the mentorship of a faculty member in the field. May be repeated up to a maximum of 6 credits. A research or creative project proposal must be agreed to by the student and faculty mentor and must be approved by Lewis Honors College Director of Undergraduate Studies.
