This course is designed to foster students' early careers in politics and enhance their experience as an intern in Washington, DC. To those ends, the course has several core goals. First, the course will allow students to learn about the varied career opportunities available in public service and government. Second, it will connect students with University of Kentucky alumni who can serve as contacts and mentors for students as they navigate their careers. Third, it will allow students to reflect on their experiences as interns and how it may affect their career aspirations. Finally, the course will teach students how to market their new skills to potential employers. The class is taught in Washington D.C. as part of the WildCats at the Capitol program.
