Scholarships support:
- Internships in politics, government, law, or public policy—awards up to $5,000
- Education abroad programs—awards up to $3,000
- State legislative travel grants, including internships in Frankfort—awards up to $500

Criteria:
- Political Science majors or Arts and Sciences majors who plan to attend law school
- Minimum junior status at the time of the internship or education abroad program
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
An application must include:
- Completed application (view form)
- A 500-word statement explaining how the scholarship will help the student to take advantage of an opportunity they otherwise would not been able to afford, and how it builds on the work/study the student has already completed (or fills critical gaps). For more details, please see the application.
- Budget
- Letter of reference from a faculty member
- Learning contract or independent study syllabus for students who are seeking academic credit
Note: The student does not have to have completed the desired internship or been accepted to the education abroad program at the time they apply for this scholarship. Receipt of the scholarship is contingent on a formal letter of acceptance for an internship or education abroad program.
