I develop computational tools for modeling, analysis, and control of gene regulatory networks. I am also developing efficient methods for optimal control of large probabilistic models using techniques from Markov decision processes and reinforcement learning.

Research Projects: I have worked in a variety of research problems. Below are the main research directions that I have been focusing on recently:

• A mathematical theory for the biological concept of modularity Funded by NSF grant.

• Model personalization and calibration for medical digital twins.

• Predicting the directability of RNA secondary structure. Funded by UK's Pilot Grant.

I am a co-organizer of the University of Kentucky Mathematical Community and Ethics Working Group (MCE).
