I am originally from Shelbyville, Kentucky. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Auburn University, then served on active duty in the United States Air Force for three years as a Communications Officer.

After active duty, I returned to school and completed a Master’s degree in Linguistics with a TESL emphasis from the University of Iowa. My professional interests include second language acquisition and ESL reading, writing, and grammar.

I have studied abroad in Japan and traveled to Korea as well as many parts of the United States. My personal interests include astronomy, photography, writing, reading, and watching football.
