EES Seminar - Bill Murphie, U.S. Department of Energy

Earth and Environmental Sciences Seminar Series:

On Thursday September 1, 2011 Bill Murphie of the U.S. Department of Energy will host a seminar entitled Portsmouth/Paducah Project Office, Yesterday & Today, Portsmouth, Ohio & Paducah, Kentucky SitesPortsmouth/Paducah Project Office, Yesterday & Today, Portsmouth, Ohio & Paducah, Kentucky Sites. The seminar will take place in room 203 of the Slone building. Refreshments will be served at 3:30 and the seminar will folllow promptly from 4:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.

A Journey Through Colombia

On Friday September 16, 2011 at 3:30 P.M. there will be a concert featuring Colombian singer Claudia Grenier in the Niles Gallery of the Lucille Caudill Little Fine Arts Library. The concert will be followed by light refreshments at 4:30 P.M. This is event is sponsored by the Latin American Studies program as part of Hispanic Heritage Month.

Concierto Musical Latinoamericano

On Wednesday September 21, 2011 at 7:00 P.M. there will be a Latin American music concert in Worsham theater featuring Latin American Studies professors and graduate students from the School of Music. The concert is sponsored by the Latin American Studies Program and the School of Music.

Teaching and Technology Fair

UK professors and staff are invited to the university's second Teaching and Technology Fiar from 2-5 P.M. Thursday September 1st in teh Lexmark Public Room 209 of the Main Building.

The fair, sponsored by the College of Arts & SciencesDivision of Undergraduate Education and the Center for Enhancement of Learning and Teaching (CELT), is meant to be a one stop showplace for a variety of contemporary technologies that can be successfully employed in the traditional classroom.

UK Heroes' Day 2011

On Saturday, September 10th, Athletics will honor the Army and Air Force ROTC and families along with their Alumni, firefighters, police and paramedics at Heroes' Day 2011 during the UK football game against Central Michigan.
